White Wax Flower

SKU #: xxxxxwaxflowerWH

Grower's Bunch by Weight - usually 6-10 stems

Wax Flower (also known as Chamelaucium) is a dainty filler flower that comes in field bunches determined by weight. A field bunch is approximately 6-10 stems (depending on the size of the branches). Although this flower is available year round, the fullest look is generally from December to May. "Off Season" may have fewer blooms and a grassier look.

A light, pleasant citrus smell is noticed when the leaves are rubbed. The fragrance is light and not at all over powering. It is a wonderful addition to corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces and bridal flowers.

The stems are rather woody and may be difficult to cut. We recommend using pruning snips or hand pruners to cut the stems before immersing in water. Clean off the bottom leaves and debris before putting the stems in water.

Most flowers are sensitive to ethylene, which means it should not be stored near fruit or any product that gives off ethylene gas.

Please note that prices are based on availability due to both growing seasons and holidays. (For instance, Valentine's Day and Mother's Day sees a sharp increase in flower costs.)

All bulk flowers are shipping in what florists refer to as a "dry pack" state. This means that they make look slightly droopy. Some customers think this means the flowers are wilted. This is not true, however, it means that the flowers need to be processed correctly immediately upon arrival. Please click on "Flower Care" tab above to see how to properly care for your flowers.
